A Romance Scam is a type of scam where someone creates a fake identity on the internet to give the illusion of a romantic relationship in order to steal your money. They will say that they are from another state or even country in order to convince you that they cannot see you because of the distance, they could even say that they need the money for a sick relative or to buy a plane ticket to finally meet you.
